The Flip Flop valve connects to a foley catheter and can thus open or close as needed. The flexible part allows the valve to be connected to a urine bag, offering more freedom with it. In early use, this system helps preserve bladder tone.

Characteristics:

  • For use with an indwelling urinary catheter

  • Lever to open and close the valve 

  • The lower half comprises a flexible tube to which urine bags can be connected

  • If no other urine bag is connected to the valve, it is possible to store urine in the bladder and simply open the valve to empty the bladder as needed (using a bottle, a bag or directly into the toilet).

  • Empty the bladder as often as prescribed by your doctor or nurse

  • We recommend replacing the Flip-Flo™ valve every 5 to 7 days.
